Geico usually has some pretty effective ad campaigns. Think the green gecko or the cavemen or celebrities like Joan Rivers and Little Richard. But the new mascot/spokeswhatever is a dud.

After nearly a quarter of a century at the bottom of the Dotonbori River in Japan, the upper half of a statue of Kentucky Fried Chicken mascot Colonel Sanders was found Tuesday. The statue was thrown in the river in 1985 by fans, overjoyed that the Hanshin Tigers had won the Central League championship for the first time in 21 years.
