Bloutville Middle School is located in Blountville, Tennessee. It has 6th through 8th grade with about 500 students annually. Akard, Blountville, and Central Heights Elementary Schools feed in to Blountville Middle. The school's mascot is the tiger.

Adrian McPherson, former quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, filed suit against the Tennessee Titans in December for an incident that occurred on the field between McPherson and T-Rac, the Titans mascot. T-Rac clipped McPherson as he was driving around the field in his motorized vehicle during the warmup period before the 2nd half of play.

Quarterback Adrian McPherson, who was injured during a pre-season game when run over by a golf cart driven by the Tennessee Titans's raccoon mascot, has sued the NFL team for $20 million in damages. McPherson, 23, was warming up before the start of the second half of an August game between the Titans and the New Orleans Saints.

Adrian McPherson was run over by Titans mascot T-Rac during second-half warmups of the New Orleans-Tennessee game Saturday night. He said he never saw the golf cart coming as he prepared to catch a punt.
